It is the classical product that distinguish the wunes of the Caves Cooperatives de Donnas.
It is several century that this wine is well known and apreciated, there are historical testimonies onthis wine since 1200. Is produced with Nebbiolo grape, of the local selection called “Picotendro”,
characterized by little and tender berry.
Colour: ruby red,with garnet reflexion
Perfume: fine,softly spicytaste: full bodied, dry, inviting
Taste: dry, harmonius, with a pleasant bitter after taste
Variety of vine: Nebbiolo 90%, Freisa and Neiret 10%
Soil: terraced, very leaning,rich of stones, south east exposition
Growing method: trellised vine
Implant density: 2500 vines per HA
Harvest: from october the 18 to october the 31
Ageing: oak wood barrel for 12 months and than in bottle
Combinations: red meat, game, tasty cheese.
