Varieties: Bosco, Vermentino and Albarola.
Vineyards: Terraced vineyards overlooking the sea, located in Riomaggiore and Vernazza. The whole extension is about one and a half hectare, split into five plots of land. The terraces soils are sandy, as a consequence of sandstone decomposition of schists and micascists.
Cultivation: Pergola farming with a 1 mt height structure from the ground and a density of about 5.000 stumps per hectare for the 80 years old implants and alberello breeding with a density of 10.000 plants per hectare for the new implants.
Harvest: Hand-picked, divided by maturation of the different sections during the last week of september.
Vinification: Quick maceration on the skins, low temperature fermentation and maturation on its own yeasts in steel vats for six months.
Bottling: In April, then released on the market after a month of
aging in the bottle.
Yield per hectare: 50 quintals of grapes per hectare.
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
Produced bottles: 4.000
