Appellation: DOC “ETNA” - Controlled place-name “ETNA”

Grape varieties: Tree-like Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grown on volcanic soils rich in small volcanic stones, where the vine yield is very low, reaching a perfect sugary phenolic ripening.

Production area: 600-800 mts above sea-level vineyards in Castiglione di Sicilia.

Production technique: Long temperature-controlled maceration with pomace.

Raising: Small oak barrels and in bottles for at least 18 months.

Colour: Intense red ruby tending to purple.

Perfume: Wide, ethereal with red fruit hints mixed with pleasant toasted almond and cocoa hints.

Taste: Firm with a noble tannic signature. Hot, intense with a remarkable persistence.

Food pairing: Outstanding meat, game and mushroom dishes.

Alcohol: 14.0% vol*
