Lagrein, one of the most typical red wine varieties of Alto Adige and the Bolzano Winery, thrives on the valley floor around Bolzano with its pronounced diurnal temperature variations. The grape variety produces intensely colored and complex wines with the typical acidity of Lagrein.

Vinification: Traditional fermentation of the must, malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, short period of maturation in the bottle

Color: intense ruby with purple hues
Aroma: fruity aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry with floral aromas of violets and lilac, typical note of cocoa, spicy aromas
Taste: full-bodied, well structured tannins, elegant and juicy
