Syrah is a red grape variety whose origins are controversial: some believe that it comes from Iran, precisely form the city of Shiraz, other believe that its historical roots are linked to Siracusa, in the south of sicily. Syrah gives a ruby red wine, full of violet shades and with an intense scent of red fruits.

 

Type: red wine IGP Sicily (PGI– Protected Geographical Indication) 

Grape variety: Syrah 100%

Production area: Western Sicily and province of Trapani and Agrigento 

Wine-making: grapes are soft-pressed, grape’s skin is fermented at a controlled temperature. 

Refining: in stainless steel tanks and bottle. 

Alcohol: 13.0% vol*

Color: ruby red with violet shades. 

Aroma: notes of red berried fruits and floral hints 

Taste: structured and persistent, nice freshness, medium tannicity 

Serving temperature: 16-18°C. 

Food pairing: red meat, lamb, game, and mature cheese varieties.
